Mothers Day Tea

Our Mother’s Day Tea – held the Saturday before Mother’s Day – is our signature annual fundraiser. First held in 2014, it is a chance for the whole community to support the EHFRC, while enjoying a wonderfully afternoon sipping tea and sampling delicious home baked treats.

Generous local businesses donate prizes and sponsor tables, while our marvelous volunteer Board of Directors, our staff and community volunteers decorate, bake, and create for this wonderful event.

In 2015 we added a photo booth, which resulted in fun and charming pictures. Our 2016 event promises to be just as awesome!

Roots Of Empathy

Offered in Maple Ridge and Elmsdale Elementary Schools, Roots of Empathy is an evidence-based classroom program that has shown significant effect in reducing aggression levels among children by increasing empathy and social skills.
